From all the members of the Massanutten Police Department,

We would like to welcome you to the Police Department Web Page. The Massanutten Police Department is a proactive full-service, community-based police organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of our citizens through professional law enforcement services. Our Department is a diverse microcosm of the community we proudly serve.

The Massanutten Police Department consists of seven sworn police officers and five cilivian non sworn employees.

The M.P.D. is dedicated in providing excellent services to Massanutten Village.

M.P.D. provides Virginia state certified professional law enforcement officers. The M.P.D. officers are trained at the Central Shenandoah Criminal Justice Training Academy. Our officers are vested with law enforcement powers to enforce Virginia state law and local county ordinances. Our department is a qualified Criminal Justice Agency.

Our department shares information in arrest and serious crimes with other law enforcement agencies. The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office works hand in hand with providing resources to the M.P.D. upon request.

The M.P.D. officers not only perform police duties but also provide everyday non-police related services to the community. The officers conduct pro-active patrols throughout the village on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis.

The M.P.O A. provides non sworn employees stationed at the Main gate entrance to Massanutten Village that provide services around the clock and 365 days a year. These employees are dedicated to providing assistance to the homeowners and guests.

Together we can insure the safety of our community with your help. This means staying active in your neighborhood, meeting your neighbors, staying alert to issues in the community. Together we can and do make a difference.
