Mission


We, the members of the Massanutten Police Department, exist to enhance the quality of life in Massanutten by working cooperatively with the public to enforce the laws, preserve the peace, reduce the fear of crime and provide for a safe community.

We believe to be truly effective and responsive in our role, we will provide quality, empathetic, responsive and professional service for all of our residents and visitors to our community.

With community policing and community service as our foundation, we are striving to improve the quality of life in Massanutten and to develop a lasting trust between the police and our citizens.

We believe that to be deserving of that trust and to build a strong partnership with our citizens, we must at all times hold ourselves accountable to the highest standard of professional police conducts and integrity.
