MPOA President – Important Message – June 30 2020

Greetings Property Owners,

I would like to share some good news with you. The Rockingham County Board of Supervisors directed County staff to proceed with the necessary steps to consider creation of a Water and Sewer Authority to serve Massanutten. The County will soon advertise a Public Hearing to consider creation of an Authority. We expect the Public Hearing will be held in the board room at 20 East Gay Street at or around August 12, 2020. In addition, the County will also be putting out a Request for Proposals for a company or team to determine the fair market value of the water and sewer system. These are the first steps in the process.

Thank you to all the owners for your cooperation in making the pool opening work smoothly. We again ask for your help as we move to allow more people in the pool to keep social distancing in mind in the pool and on the pool deck. Do not forget that the go karts, mini golf and ice cream shop are open if you are looking for outdoor entertainment and/or some delicious ice cream.

A few years ago, MPOA and Great Eastern adopted a no drone policy. There is no exception to this rule for any reason. This prohibition extends to any drones launched or operated from private property within the boundaries of MPOA, from property owned by MPOA as well as drones launched from property outside MPOA but traveling into MPOA property. Penalties may involve an assessment of fines and confiscation of drone equipment. If you rent your property advise your tenants and/or guests of MPOA policy.

You received this news because you signed up for MPOA email blasts. Not all our homeowners have signed up so please discuss doing so with neighbors and friends. mpoa@massanuttenvillage.com we will get owners signed up.
